Springwatch Special - Blue Tits

Oh my gosh - I can't believe those Blue Tits came right down to the feeder with Kate Humble so close!

Mine would never do that for me. Only my quiet robin comes within 1.5-2 metres of me.

Do you think they were male Blue Tits & in the Elite Males Love Kate Humble Fan Club that a few men I know are in?

Oh ok Squirrel, I obviously wasn't paying much attention to detail. I'm in holiday mode, quite worrying that I am going to have to snap out of it for Monday & go back to work.

    Hi Squirrel

I agree - no netting on the fatballs.

I do not think that Kate would be so foolish to leave netting on the fatballs - as her new RSPB status would be on the 'firing' line in no time at all

    Regards

    Kathy and Dave

I also like Kate very much, but I do think she missed a great opportunity when she was in her garden adding an extra fat ball to her feeder. She could have made a point about warning folk to remove any netting first.

I liked the Cranes walking about round Simon!

Perhaps Sparrow just wanted Kate to mention the removal of netting. I have just re-read Sparrows post, I thought Kate had left the netting on. Sorry I am getting flu, not feeling very well and obviously not reading very well either.

  • Hi Birdmum,

There was no netting on her fat balls. I was meaning she could have taken the opportunity of warning the viewers to remove it, just like she had preumably done.

    Cheers, Linda.

  • Hi again Birdmum,

Our posts crossed in the post!!!!

Sorry to hear you have flu - but it could be a good reason to sit with your feet up and watch your birds!

    Cheers, Linda.

    Thankyou Sparrow,

We went on a big walk in the woods yesterday in pouring rain, freezing temperatures and horrendous gales. My own fault really, despite being wrapped up. I think my brain has got frost bite or something, I really can't cope with this cold weather, I couldn't be a bird.

Sorry I got confused about your post.
