Brilliant photo.
2.10.2009. Edit:- My OH has just come in as I was looking at it and wants to know if the pigeon got away!
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Love it MarJus.
Just thinking of the same programme from all those years ago.
Mutley the sniggering dog!

Hilarious picture. I bet the bird will win by a short head.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Well, the pigeon usually wins ...
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Marjus, Just love this picture. I have shown it to everyone who has come to our house today and consequently made them all laugh, which has been such a joy. Thank you.
Soo funny and great picture!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Lol! Thanks everyone! Glad you all enjoyed it (including your guests Brenda! Wow!)
Funny thing is, I *almost* deleted it at the time! I was photographing the Chinook at RAF Shawbury on one of their display days and the woody flew into the frame just as I puched the button!! It was only when I got it on my computer screen that I saw that it looked as though the heli was in hot pursuit!!
Just shows - it's best not to delete anything till you get it onto the computer screen. We can try to be very clever with photos, but sometimes clever just happens!
That is so true. I visited Woburn Safari Park back in the summer, took loads of photos generally and even more of the squirrel monkeys because parts of their enclosure are so dark (even on a hot summer's day) that I wasn't sure any would be that good, When I loaded them onto the computer I found one of a baby squirrel monkey walking along a branch with a yellow / black blur heading straight for his / her posterior! I nearly deleted that because it wasn't very sharp but I am glad I didn't now.
