I'm suggesting a new game - using the latin name of bird species by it's description would you know what it is? Obviously there is no prize here but the person who guesses the correct ansewer gets to write their own latin equivalent....How many of us out would know that a Passer Domesticus was...............a sparrow! I will start with "Garrulus Glandarius" as I get visited by these quite often. I hope it's educational and fun!
I am piratical and predatory, I live in the woods but will visit gardens especially for peanuts but I'm most partial to acorns. I am shy and will try to be inconspicuous. I will even take eggs from othe birds if available. My plumage is colourful although I don't like to be seen.
