Autumnwatch

I have say that I think the BBC have got it right with the new timetabling for Autumwatch  ie  only one hour per week for 8 weeks. Spreading it out over half the Autumn season should prove interesting and possibly/hopefully varied.  Unplugged will also be on for half  an hour each Friday.  I found that really interesting in Springwatch, and thought it too short.  Looking forward to next Friday already.

I wouldn't mind if they left out the badgers this time, I'm badgered out lol

  • I'm really looking forward to this new series, love the outdoors & i'm starting an Ecology and Conservation 2 year night school course next week.   I need all the help I can get.

The Autumnwatch website is very interesting, and it appears they (the BBC) are hoping its a more interactive series this year.

  • Personally I'd like an "all-year-round-watch"! It will be interesting to see the format of the new series (though I know what you mean about timetabling!).

    Hi Juno

Best of luck with the new course.  I am sure that you will sail through it as you are very interested in the subject and that is half the battle in the first place. Keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

I had a look at the Radio Times and we will be getting articles about deer on the Isle of Rum from simon.  Gordon Buchanan is on - wonder if his article will be Foxes once more?

I loved Gordon Buchanan in the TV series Land of the Lost Volcano with the Pygmy Parrots and the Gaint Woolley Rats.  He is a super photographer, and he deserves credit for that.
