  • Would prefer a coffee with 21 sugar.

Do they do Muffins..?  or should I make my own..?

  • Aaarrrgh!!! Pleeeeeze don't mention muffins... back at the end of July I was given about 5 hours notice that 72 were required - I never, ever, want to see another muffin as long as I live (WINK)

Never had Plum Bread then you have never lived. Get yourself to a decent baker and treat yourself (great with a nice bit of cheese). Mouth watering already.

  • Here in Lincolnshire they say there are as many plumbread recipes as there are bakers! Some are yeast-based (bread-y) and some are more cake-like. Mine is based on an old family recipe and is of the cakey type. Lovely with a bit of cheese!

  • You could bake your own.

I can do it and I'm a bloke. I use a recipie from of Mother's she was a proper baker.

  • I just Googled Plumbread and found a whole stack of recipes from Winteringham Village - I'm hungry now! I originate from the west country (halfway between Bath and Bristol) and my favourite was always Lardy Cake but they can't make it properly in the bakers round here. It's way too dry and insufficient sugar topping.
