Hi I'd really appreciate some help I started feeding the birds in the spring but I didn't have many visit so moved my feeding station to the bottom of the garden and I started to get a few finch every day and a Robin. I then went away in the summer for 2 weeks came back to feeders were empty so refilled them but only the Robin came back. I also noticed that the squirrels were helping themselves so got them their own feeding station. I then moved the feeding station away from the squirrels. The feeding station has now been in its new place for about 6 weeks but only the Robin has returned. Would really appreciate any help thank you
Good thanks I have a bird bath further up the garden to the left so they have water which I'll defrost as needed I also clean it out once a week
Either is good, though evergreen is probably preferable for cover, but as long as there are plenty of perch places you should get more activity. Anything that is less exposed will be better so birds feel safe feeding. :)
That is so so much better! Far less exposed. Birds will feel much safer dotting through the undergrowth there and perching or dashing off for cover. Much better, well done you! :D
Thank for your advice it's worked already as I've had to replace all the berry Suet balls
Wow! Oh I'm so so pleased. Now they know there's food and it's safe to feed there, you'll have loads of visitors and will probably be running out of food every few weeks! :D
