Greetings from SUNNY Whitby! Just thought I would do a quick post to explain my 'missing in action' over the last few days. Billy and I have come to Whitby for a week, and surprisingly after an unsettled start, it has been glorious for the last few days - I even have my shorts on! Not a pretty sight ... . We went to Bempton Cliffs yesterday - about 30 miles from here. There were millions ... well hundreds of Gannets, lots of Guillemots and Razorbills, but very few Puffins. It was very busy, but plenty of room for everybody. I will post some piccys when we get home. Busy enjoying the sunshine at the moment ... .
It's very sad that you had to go find the sun BD...think a may have to join yous lol.
Glad you and Billy are having a fantastic time....can't wait to see the pics
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Have a lovely time BD and Billy - lots of interesting places to explore for Billy

Glad the weather is changing for the better finally and you are enjoying N.Yorkshire and managed to see Bempton Cliffs which is still on our to visit list. heart-warming to hear you saw lots of Gannets and Guillemots after such devastation from Avian influenza. Shame there it was a bit late in the season to see the Puffins but a good reason to return ! Look forward to your pics in due course.

Have a lovely time BD, both of you. Glad the sun is shining for you, enjoy.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Hope it stays good for you BD :o)
Not jealous, not one bit, not even a teeny weeny bit.
Ok, I am, and a lot.....
Seriously though, it is a fabulous place Whitby, the 199 Steps, St Mary's Church at the top by Whitby Abbey, part of the Dracula story, and the surrounding area, and just as fascinating as you go around the small villages on the North York Moors. Let the train take the strain, an old advertising phrase, Whitby Station and the North York Moors Railway, which takes you through some absolutely fantastic scenery.
Goathland (aka Aidensfield), the home of Heartbeat.
Enjoy, bring back some fabulous tales and piccies.
