Hi,
I have just discovered what I’m pretty sure is a blackbird nest in my shed with 5 eggs (lucky timing as I was planning on knocking it down next week). But I have lots of seagulls, magpies, crows, squirrels and cats that come to my garden, just wondering if there is anything I can do to protect the nest? The shed has no glass in the windows as it’s very old and was there when we bought the house. Any help would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance
Hi Keely, is the bird getting in & out through the window? Nothing you can do at this stage as you musn't risk spooking the birds into abandoning the nest, is against wildlife laws ... just keep watching from a very safe distance and leave the rest to nature! they hatch & fledge successfully, do let us know!

Thanks for your reply. Yes, they are getting in and out through the windows, I will just keep an eye on it for now, hopefully all is fine
