It’s often been mentioned 1962-1963 winter(the big freeze) which lasted for 10 weeks and January 1963 where the sea freeze froze all the UK with rivers, canals streams everywhere completely frozen over that winter and it is reconed that half the UK’s wild bird population dies tgat winter. But a later article about that 10 long weeks width blizzard after blizzard ans effect of winter of the UK’s wild bird population and I was 10 years old during 10 long weeks of blizzard after blizzard!
