This is not the first time I’ve said this over many years. I’ve been pessimistic right from the beginning when climate change was first mentioned. Even if all the Western European Countries had achieved everything to do with climate change. There are still many many large countries that will never change. If you want to, you can find me saying that many times as well As well as other pesimistic truths. Sadly, what I said many times looks as it though this might turn out to be true. I’m glad I’m 71 and in my younger days particularly in the 1950’s and 1960’s I saw Wildlife and the countryside still at its best . But what will the younger generation have to look forward to!IF ANY FUTURE AT ALL ON THIS PLANET! Think about that! I foresaw this happening more quickly and rapidly after the last general election result. And even if the major opposition party wins with a majority! Will that make any difference? At the present moment, the major opposition party seems no different to the present Government. Well that is my gloomy assessment . I now wait for the responces!
Regards,
Ian.

And again tis amazing how everything/everyone is connected.
I give you the new net zero minister.

Great article from George Monbiot here.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Ian Prest was a previous CEO of the RSPB many decades ago as mentioned in this blogbut instead of being called the CEO the head of the RSPB in the distant past/decades Link above. The link below now works with article in 2013 looking back to the1980’s with Ian Prest mentioned in this blog. The same link that I posted didn’t work for some reason. But now retyped and the link below now works. This blog was written by Martin Harper in 2013 looking back. Sadly I don’t think Martin Harpers position has been replaced anyone else since Marin Harper joined another organisation. Around 4 years ago. I can remember Ian Prest as the CEO, but during the 1980’s the head of the RSPB was called Director. Looking further back I can remember the then head of the RSPB Peter Condor. Don’t know if Condor is spelt correctly. There are others on this forum member longer than me who will remember the past CEO’s or back in that era Director.
