Why the change to Cheshire Lad?
Well, Tag had a very sad tale to tell, in the Belstone Fox, though if the truth is known, the orphaned fox cub actually got one over humans, on more than one occasion.
I was originally going to use Cheshire Lad, but not knowing anyone, felt it might have been very out of place. But you’ve all nicely correctly me on that, a very friendly group of people, so a little history behind Cheshire Lad.
My late father-in-law gave me the nickname Cheshire Lad, not because I came from Cheshire, I was born and raised in Warwickshire, the same as my wife, and we still live in the county, but because I worked on expensive cars back then, and Cheshire, like today, had some very rich people living there, that's how I gained the name Cheshire Lad.
Once I’d proposed to my wife, Sarah, he never called me Cheshire Lad again, and that was right to the day he died, was either John or son.
regards
John

Yep.
Age is just a number, and when you get to my age, sometimes you can swap the numbers around, and be young again, though only numerically, because there are times when you swap them around, and it makes you feels ancient!

Thank you.
The Mirrorless thread is a truly informative thread and fantastic to see all sharing their experiences, no matter what, nor which camera make.
I've no problem with name shortening, I grew up when it was a done thing.
