Dawn chorus, in the trees oppositie, beautiful call which sometimes has a short intro, but the main thrust is a machine gun rapid burst, followed by four or five slightly higher pitch chirps. It does this about every 30 seconds in bursts of around 3-4 minutes.
If anyone knows would be really grateful. my friend suggested chaffinch, but I have seen almost none in my local travels, but who knows ?
I can upload a recording if anyone has a suggestion for what iphone app, or iphone recording software I could use for this ?
If helpful, I live in apartment overlooking some smallish trees and shrubs, but also with some taller trees across the way - semi-urban environment on outskirts of city.
