My neighbour has attached Bird spikes to the top of my fence ( I put the fence up 6 years ago cost £1700) I needed a fence to contain my dog.Can they actually do this ? No one has asked my permission. It's on the fence right next to my bird feeders as well. I only discovered this today. I am furious. What can I do to legally remove it.The neighbour is aggressive
I said i put up a new fence !
And Billysdad said just because you put up a fence doesn't mean it's yours if its on the boundary. It's all to do with what's in the "title deeds" regarding the boundary. Just because the fence man drew a line with chalk doesnt make it legal. He will put the fence wherever you tell him aslong as you pay him ! I am not sure what you are actually looking for in answers here on our friendly bird forum..we ain't lawyers ...sorry
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Fence man puts it wherever you tell him so he gets paid. It's your job am afraid to find out about the boundaries of your land even if that's not clear to you when you read the title deed that's why it's best in long run to get legal advice if you don't know from the start
I paid for a new fence on my side of the boundary.
It cost £1700 and the fence was erected by an old professional fencer who knew all about boundaries and their significance ..
We ate not idiots !

We do not need to know any of this. This is your private business. Poor man has probably had a lucky escape!
