As posted a few of these films before and many many decades ago there used to be the Annual RSPB Film Shows every year with 3 new full feature length films that premiered in London every year. But sadly no more. And then the 3 new films where shown all over the UK. Above are 4 of these these films that where shown over the many decades including one from the early 1960s. Some of these files where often after 1 year shown in full on BBC TV.

The RSPB Annual Film Shows where a highlight for RSPB members every year. The RSPB premiered the annual Film Shows every year in London around April. And then the film shows where shown in towns and cities all over the UK. Newcastle Upon Tyne where I live near by where shown in the main concert Hall in Newcastle Upon Tyne in October every year and then other area’s of North East England showed these films. The RSPB had a much larger section called the RSPB Films Unit. Although it is still in existence it is now on a much smaller scale and don’t make these long major films any more. Only very short videos as on YouTube are made now. In the 1970’s Hugh Miles was in charge of the production and making of these films. Some of these films won awards. And after 12 months of 3 new films being shown around the UK every year, on occasions some of these RSPB Films would get broadcast on BBC TV or ITV such as the film Osprey which won many awards and 12 months after being shown around the UK. the film Osprey was broadcast on BBC TV
