Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)

I was gutted that I couldn't get this female Sparrow hawk in focus in time as it took off from the trees at the back of my house. This could have been a cracking shot!! That's the full frame, no cropping...just resized to 25%.
Maybe next time... :)
I just started a Flickr feed recently (Although I've had an account since 2011) Please take a look and tell me what you think.
Sry you missed the pic of the Sparrowhawk John but I'm sure she'll be back again so have the camera on standby !

We had a walk around a very flooded reserve today at Vitrezay. Apart from finding a hole in my welly (had to pour water out & squeeze out socks, there wasn't too much excitement. Just a lovely fan-tailed warbler who didn't hang around for longer than 2 quick shots.
It was quite windy but it may have had a bath too. Looks a bit tousled.
Hi Hazel , fan-tailed warbler is a new name to a novice like me. Are they native to France or do we get them in UK ? As an aside during my walk with the dog this morning I noticed my right welly was letting in water also, so might need new pair or constant wringing out of socks. Can anyone recommend a reliable welly brand, preferably not Hunters as had pair before and didn't think good value for high price?
