Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)
Collared Flycatcher
Otter
Peregrine
and best (worst) of all, Nightjar!

These are good, I would put them up as my normal photos :-)
Black Redstart seen at Durlston the other evening, 11.7.12, a 'tick' for us so excited to see it but wouldn't keep still and blowing a gale too.
I love this thread!! LoL! :)) I was sooo mad at myself for this one! What an opportunity, and I got a lamp post!!
LOL Katy, that's brilliant!!!!
Cheers, Linda.
See my photos on Flickr
I'm annoyed with this one. I almost got it right!
LoL Linda, isn't it just! I just got too excited when I saw it, and ended up fluffing it! :))
Wow Sunrider! I would be over the moon at just seeing that! love bald eagles! It's still a good picture tho, but I know what you mean, I would have wanted the fish too! Where was it taken?
Love it Katy :-)
Sunrider - still an amazing shot :-)
It's a White Tailed Sea Eagle from a couple of weeks ago when I was holidaying on Mull.
That's a great shot of the streetlamp, Katy. Pity that pesky Kestrel got in the way. LOL
I've done that sort of thing with large birds of prey so many times, Sunrider. I'll bet you got some good ones though.
Here's my nearly good one of a Short-toed Eagle.
