Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)
Collared Flycatcher
Otter
Peregrine
and best (worst) of all, Nightjar!

I feel slightly jealous of everyone's out of focus shots of 'Wallcreepers and Belted Kingfishers'
All I have to show is a cheeky little sparrow who kept coming up to my window! Enjoy!

Well, some of you had a belly laugh at my pochard duck, what about this, my first ever known sighting of a big black sea bird I thought was a cormorant - very cleverley ID'd on this forum as a Shag.
Cheers, Linda.
See my photos on Flickr
That's not the worst Shag ever, Sparrow.
This is :)
oh, and I've found another - behold this magnificent Woodcock!
This is a brilliant thread and so funny. It is that excitement of spotting something new as Pip says.
My first photo is beyond funny, it is just bad. It was 2004, my first DSLR camera and the first nuthatch visiting my garden. I don't know why I kept this?????
This is a flowerpot full of peanuts by the way.
I keep this because I have two badgers visiting my garden and i have not obtained one decent photo! I am too anxious I will scare them off. Any tips or hints on badger photography would be very welcome. LOL
Taken by torchlight through a window in the rain.
Kind regards Jane.
Jef, you took a picture of a two-headed Nuthatch and you DON'T KNOW WHY YOU KEPT IT??? Notify 'New Scientist' magazine immediately and ask to speak to someone in the genetic engineering department :)
Jef's nuthatch has my vote for the funniest!!! The two headed nuthatch
And Aiki, I'm so pleased you have a worse photo of a Shag than I do!!!!!
