I'm starting a new thread as the old one is playing up. Here's a snap of the sea from Felixstowe Ferry to start it off:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

All great shots Tony, but I am glad you posted this photo of Vatersay, as I have a photo of the beach from standing on the hill at the opposite end of your photo, so its nice to get it from both ends.....

JIM - Great photos of the Beach and Driftwood, looks like a face if you tilt your head :-)
Did the Bride just happen to be there on the beach, or were you at the wedding?
It was a nice piece of driftwood Mary wish I could have taken it home with me lolI was up at Bamburgh Lighthouse were the white stage is painted onto the rocks with the wife and her sister on the beach and she just waked down onto the rocks for a camera take so thought I would join in lolJim

A lovely setting for a bride Jim.....
It was Mary, the cameraman had the castle in the background and was using flash I was a lot farther away but had a 300mm lens on so could get some candid shots.
Ha Ha Jim, crafty candid shots!... If she had been on Luskentyre beach she wouldn't have had anyone in the background, but she might have needed a long overcoat :-) Only joking, they do get good weather up there some times.
Need to look out some more Sea shots.... and keep this thread alive!
I thought I'd add a couple - mostly what I call Seasets ;-) To be fair, the first two are dawn shots, We like to be up really early on holiday - the birds are out and daylight is wasting!
"Let loose the Kraken!"
what a glorious setting and lovely photos Stuart, as you say, nice to be up early so not to miss the dawn or the birds !
