Old thread here: http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/chat/f/2542/t/22684.aspx
Because the original thread has, fittingly enough, 'gone bad', it's time for a new 'Bad pics' thread. Here, we celebrate the very worst of our wildlife photography. The subject matter is always brilliant, but the photos are very much not. If it's out of focus, chopped in half, frighteningly under- or over-exposed or terrible in some other way, it belongs here :)
Here's my first (first of many, no doubt) contribution to the new thread, a Goldcrest taken at Barnes yesterday. You need only minor incompetence to take a blurry photo, and the same to take a really under-exposed photo, but to do both in one go requires a special level of cackhandedness.

The amount of bad pics I add to this thread is embarrassing lol !!
Here's fuzzy Cyril and a fuzzy Brambling lol
Another pic suitable for this thread but its a photo that did make me laugh .......... a Cyril jumped up on the roof of the guardian cage and the other Cyril who was already on the roof of the cage had such a fright it leapt right up into the air with shock !
Maybe they are interbreeding with Flying Squirrels now!
Kind regards, Ann
Lol Ann, I was watching out of the window when the one clinging to the roof leapt up from the ground and spooked his buddy ! can't believe the height it gained in sudden fright mode lol
It is amazing that you managed to capture the elevated Squirrel--well done you! The one on the left really looks like he leaped from the bushes at the back rather than jumped straight up from the roof.
Are you running a "Cyril the Squirrel Circus" in your garden Hazel ? brave little squirrels doing this with no safety net.
Pete
Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
lol Pete, think they are in training for Cirque de Soleil ! as you say Ann, it looks like he jumped from the shrub but it was more like a vertical take off from the roof of the guardian which is was sitting on - they are amazingly agile but surprised me that they could leap that high without using a springboard and from a static position ! Its as if it was a trampoline lol
