Old thread here: http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/chat/f/2542/t/22684.aspx
Because the original thread has, fittingly enough, 'gone bad', it's time for a new 'Bad pics' thread. Here, we celebrate the very worst of our wildlife photography. The subject matter is always brilliant, but the photos are very much not. If it's out of focus, chopped in half, frighteningly under- or over-exposed or terrible in some other way, it belongs here :)
Here's my first (first of many, no doubt) contribution to the new thread, a Goldcrest taken at Barnes yesterday. You need only minor incompetence to take a blurry photo, and the same to take a really under-exposed photo, but to do both in one go requires a special level of cackhandedness.

Another beautiful example of "UK Twig" spoiled by the background
I was about to wax lyrical about the budding of new life on another "UK Twig", and then noticed the shouty wren

Nooo! ;-))
You´re right Hazel, they NEVER stand still - but always a joy to see them - and your wonderful little one at least shows the golden crest <3 <3 <3
Saw two yesterday. But had no cam wih me ( apart from mobile phone- no use at such a tiny bird).
When I returned 10 minutes later with my camera, the two were gone, naturally.
Buuut: I heard my first Chiffie in 2020 ( March 18th- just for the record)
-and even made two recordshots- just good (or bad) enough for this thread :-))
Bye for now
and all at rspb community stay save and sane , if possible, please!
Mart 1 said: is your little friend the Siberian Stonechat still around your patch ?
Hi Mart, I believe it is still pretty much in the same place it has been for the past several months and hope eventually it finds a Eurasian mate as it's looking a bit lonely at the moment !

This bird is a first winter male so he's still learning the best ways of how to find a girlfriend LOL
