lol TJ, sounds like your computer will be super speedy with that brilliant upgrade; I'm still working my way around this one as I've never had a Mac before but so far I do like it; I just couldn't stand the thought of windows 8 although I believe 9 is due to shortly. Took me ages to work out where the delete button had disappeared to on the iMac keyboard lol but its a case of using fn + backspace button - ta da !!! lol now if only I could see the text larger as I type this .......lesson 2 coming up lol Should have received a new camera at same time but thats a long and aggravating story and stuff up on the J.Lewis side - I'll PM you the saga !!! one day soon I hope to have the new camera lol

Try pressing the + and the cmd/four leaf clover buttons at the same time to enlarge the text, Hazy. I've loved all my Macs and I have used PCs at work for years. You can do it more than once if you're trying to see something really small.

Sorry, should have added the cmd and - button take the size down again and the cmd 0 button restores original size.
thanks so much GM - it worked :) I hope to eventually get a Canon 5D mk III/24-105mm lens and then .... then eventually add the 300mm prime f2.8 + 2x extender once I've had time to have some practice with the camera itself with my current lenses and see how things go. Problem is the 300mm prime is very heavy but a superb lens - not a walk around and hand hold for long sort of gear ! I've been sitting on the fence for more than a year considering what to purchase and I've talked to many photographers (a lot of very knowledgeable folk and also pros) and come up with this combo .... its breaking the bank time but will stand me in good stead for many years methinks and mehopes lol

Evening GM, it may take a while for me to get to grips with this full format camera whilst I practice - assuming it ever arrives lol there is a small chance it may arrive tomorrow after some heavy phone calls to J.Lewis this afternoon lol watch this space lol won't be getting the lens yet as I want to test the 5D out with my current lenses and particularly the 100mm macro that I have which should give great results assuming I get the settings sorted properly lol thanks again for your help with the iMac; I may be calling on you again soon !!!
