Uk bird of prey eats fish?

I have just seen a "Buzzard sized" bird of prey swoop down and grab a fish out of the river Thames just south of Oxford. I was wondering what this could be and is this normal behaviour? I had a bit of a search online and I could not find a British bird of prey which eats fish save for the Osprey; I severely doubt it being an Osprey. Maybe I did not look hard enough, can anyone here clear this up for me?

Interesting to stumble across this post as I have a bird watching hide in my garden, along with a lake and resident buzzard.
A few weeks back I noticed a Buzzard take a frog off the surface with a huge splash. Couldn't believe my eyes but I watched it land on a small island and pull bits of the frog off to eat. I saw it clearly through binoculars and a scope.
Just earlier today I saw the same thing, only this time it took a small Rudd. I watched it fly up into a favoured tree then got out the scope again and watched it eat the fish.
I was Googling to see whether this was common behaviour when I came across this post.

Marsh harrier can take fish from the water so don't rule this one out.

This was definately a buzzard. I've had a resident pair in my garden for 4 years now and there's was no mistaking the culprit through a scope.
