Just thought I would post photos of two birds of prey that I had the pleasure of handling.
The first is a kestrel at our local show.I was surprised at how light it was,I hardly knew it was perched on my hand!
The second photo was taken at the Falkirk Wheel in Scotland which I visited last year,they had several birds of prey you could handle.I chose the Russian Steppe Eagle.It weighed about 8lbs and after a couple of minutes that seemed very heavy.
It was great to see both these birds so closely.
It's not always easy to hug a hedgehog.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't.

One extreme to the other! What a great experience.
That must have been a great thrill to see these birds so close. I've promised myself a visit to one of these BoP centres this year.
