Hi Everyone,
Thought you might be interested in a small book i purchased,it is called Birdwatcher's pocket companion. In the introduction it says" it's a collection of random, fleeting glimpses of the avian kingdom, sometimes startling, sometimes amusing, sometimes uplifting".
I bought it from that bargain bookshop The Works £1.99.

Sounds interesting - thanks for the info
Of all creatures, man is the most detestable, he is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. ~ Mark Twain
Thanks for that - I will go and have a look at it.
There is something new to learn everyday...

You will find it under the bird section where i did or the hobbies section depends on the shop it's not always in the obvious section where you think it will be ,i think it's a quirky little book.
Hi LittleOwl
Thank you for your information
Will keep my eyes peeled for it, as i love all bird books that are recommended by others.
Can I ask is it this the one mentioned in the link by chance

Hi Littleowl, that sounds a good read. I will keep a look out for it. Thanks for the tip.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
