There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.
Just under a litre tubs, giving 100g of dried mealworms, are on offer at moment in Wilkinsons at 2 tubs for £4. We also buy live mealworms from livefoods direct ltd. They take a few days to arrive by post and cost just over a fiver for three tubs of 150 worms.
Hi Worm, I don't have a wilkinsons anywhere near me : ( , and they don't sell mealworms online. these on e.bay are cheaper than I have been paying, and I just wondered if anybody had tried this chap. I'm new to feeding the birds and didn't want to risk buying rubbish. I checked out livefoods direct and I see they sell in mls instead of grams how do they compare in price, I've only brought in grams and haven't a clue how a 500 ml tub would compare with 100 gms.

I buy mine on line from Really Wild Bird Foods

I also get my seed, sunflower heart chips, suet pellets, nut granules and raisins from there. The mealworms are £20 for 1k.
It is next day delivery and they have never let me down. Everything is well packed.
Everything you need in one order.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Sparrow, that is cheaper buying in bulk isn't it, I've not long spent a fortune on suet pellets and a soft feed mix in bulk, so I need to buy a smaller amount of mealworms to see me into next month, if I spend another £20 this month my OH will be moaning lol, I have to get some quick though my pied wagtail is still here and its all he is eating, I've now nearly run out and I don't want to lose him.
Hi BBB
I see nothing wrong in buying them from ebay, just check the guys feedback, if its poor go some where else.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
My last order arrived today, and my hubby had a real go at me because when the previous order came in January (in two large sacks and 2 bags) I told him it would last unti summer!!! If you get smaller quantities it is easier to smuggle them through the house. LOL.
aaah, You can't even say its some you've had in the wardrobe for ages when it's so publicly delivered can you? lol
Sarah
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...
