After a long, long, long hiatus....I'm back!
I started this about 18 months ago. Got bored, especially when it got too hot. Finally got back to the beastie - especially after discovering Golden Open acrylics and - most important of all - Golden retarder. No longer do I need to fear acrylic paints drying out in half a day.
90% luck, 5% field craft, 5% camera skills.
Good to have you back Angus, and fabulous artwork

Morning all,
Very pleased to say that this painting has been selected as a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year exhibition. There are usually about 300 pieces chosen from over 1,600 entries.
The exhibition is all online, running from 1st September to 2nd October. David Shepherd organisation has discovered that online exhibitions are cheaper to fund and reach a far wider audience.
I was hoping for my Lapwing 'Bad feather day' to be chosen. It's more colourful and exciting. Still, great that the judges felt I was worthy enough to be selected.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
