Hello Folks, RSPB reserves are great places for you to get closer to nature. So what better reason than to have a quiz to see how much you know about them. Each Monday for 12 weeks, I will be posting a little teaser for you. Without looking in books or on the internet (i.e - no cheating), see if you can identify this RSPB reserve. On Wednesday, so as long as no-one has guessed it, I will post one clue. On Friday I will post the answer along with some additional information for your interest.
Just for fun!: Make sure you keep an note of the first letter of each reserve as the weeks go by, and at the end of week 12, see if you can rearrange all 12 letters to spell out a message about our reserves. Here goes .... MYSTERY RSPB RESERVE#11Let’s hope that Hazel Coppice doesn’t wake up one of Alice’s fellow guests.
Garsten wood
Only a guess as work is being done with the hazel copice and obviously Alices fellow guests wil be dormouse wich I believe rely a lot on Hazel

Just for you John, so far we have D, A, T, S, O, V, Y, O, T & I....
Thank you Mrs T :-)
Well done Ray,think this is one I feel certain about as on our doorstep and some RSPB employees are going to do some work there and were really keen on the dormouse connection.Oh at last MrsT thank you so much.
Hope the next clue doesn't scupper it.
Garston Wood near Sixpenny Handley, think years ago a group of people went in there for quite a while to live as Bronze Age community, all sorts of ages without modern conveniences and tools for a TV program.
I won't spoil it for anyone but I do believe I know the last letter and the phrase-seventh heaven:-)
I think I've just fallen down a rabbit hole with this one, I've no idea, but your reasoning is sound Ray and John. BTW I think Sixpenny Handley is a charming place name.
Edit - sorry Sooty, your reasoning is sound too!

Another cryptic clue tomorrow...
You beat me to it Sooty and I'm not copying you! - I also think it's Garston Wood too because of the dormice there.
