Profile Privacy Poll!

After some concerns which were raised last week, we'd like to ask your opinion on who should be able to see your Community profile page?

That's the page that tells people about you, and links to your friends and recent posts etc. 

  

Why not check out the news from the wildlife enquiries team?

    Yes, a legit e-mail system and not a non-person

    After having a look on the website, I see that you can get a temporary e-mail address that expires after 30 days.  A member who is all what they seem to be will do a lot of damage in a month and disappear into thin air after the e-mail is no more - now you see me now you dont behaviour...so that sounds not too good.

    With the old Forum from a few years back i was amazed that I could open two accounts with 2 separate e-mail addresses (this was a test to see how the Forum worked)  Not tried it on this newer Forum though, and do not have the need to as I am Blackbird alive and well.  

    There needs to be safeguards put in place to prevent 'trolls' as well as 'spammer' for this reason alone

    I have voted too, but more importantly I feel very strongly that the Moderators should make use of the IP Tracker/Logger Facility for all new members joining the forum to ensure as much as can be ensured that they are not previous BANNED MEMBERS ! which is what has recently happened. A fact I am very very angry about.

    I totally agree with you, Borderslass.

    We were all taken for a ride last weekend - not by the Troll, but by a previously banned member returning under a different guise. Thankfully, this has been spotted and stopped. However, it isn't the first time it has happened, and won't be the last unless the registration is tightened and more security put in place.  I too am very angry.

    Blimey you guys,

    I didn't know about this. It would be a good idea to make the forum only availabe to members, but that may put people who want to ask a question off joining, double egded sword really.

    All this hot weather must be making some people bored at the weekend, that they need to try upset others!

    Must have got you upset Alan, you are usually one cool customer ;)
