Funnily enough I thought the head looked like a dunnock, & the feet are right, but the stripey chest?
Best wishes
Hazel in Southwest France
The date this photo was taken is 01/05/2012 when I think Seymour might have been in Lesvos. So, could this be one of the less familiar pipits? Is there a hint of red in the neck area? I'll try Red-throated Pipit

If it's not uk that's cheating!!
The last time I photographed one of these was in SW France. But it's very much also a UK bird.

Has anyone guessed it yet Aiki? What about woodlark, I didn't think the beak was right though?Wire looks the same!
I'm obviously not right. I don't know how you do it, aiki. You instantly know what it is while the rest of us flounder about.
My excuse is that i'm useless at identifying birds from photos!!
Hmmm, I usually avoid replying to S's quiz threads at all, and I think I've already said too much... plus I might well be wrong, it happens plenty of times!
OK- anyone who said Woodlark takes the biscuit :)
Mipit would have a dark central breast blotch formed by streaks
Tree Pipit would look longer tailed
This bird does have bright legs and the lark 'facial pattern' is visible.
The flanks look almost unstreaked cf. Mipit
