Once again, it’s time for MrsT’s quizzes to branch out and spread their roots, and this round... you’ve guessed it, its trees! They help regulate our climate and provide food and shelter for a whole host of animals as well as providing us with a variety of resources, we might otherwise take for granted. Let’s face it, what wood (pun intended) the world be without trees? They come in all shapes and sizes, as do the leaves and fruit that they bare and yes, I was one of those kids who loved the school trip to Westonbirt Arboretum. For the next 12 weeks, I will leaf you with a clue or two about trees for you to mulch over.EnjoyMYSTERY TREE QUIZ #2Clue: An air-raid shelter brew.
Will any of us get sleep tonight for racking our brains ? lol If the smile is a clue then TJ's right with Hornbeam, makes sense with Swiss Horn ..... its got to be it !!

Crikey Birdie, that's genius. I reckon you've done it by following up Pete's suggestion. Very well worked out. I don't think I would have ever got that.

You are so good! I think that MUST be it. Do you like to share a laugh? As English is not my native language, I had to read up quite a lot. I read about fruit used as coffee beans, fruit used for making ale, tannin, fruit containing tannin and how they are used, iron gall ink, dyeing cloth with galls, aspririn and somehow ended up with Marble Arch and TYBURN TREE. So I give up now, but I keep my fingers crossed for the lime trees. Good luck, Seaman and BirdieWild!
