The blue tit pair started building the nest 1st May.
2nd of May this happened. What will tomorrow bring?
That was hard to watch Billy, do let us know if there's a peaceful outcome!

There's been little activity today. A bird visited this morning and took out a bit more material. But there's been nothing since then. It might be over. We'll have to wait and see.

Great footage, so they seem to be adding to the nest again?
Not sure if it's the original blue tits or the latest ones. Started off this morning taking more out, then from about 4pm started putting material in.
I just hope there's no more battles in the box. We saw that fight live and I was about to run into the garden and bang on the nest box.
Due to Facebook's very questionable security measures I'm blocked from Facebook, but good to read that nest building is continuing.

Oh dear that was some stramash, glad none were injured. Hopefully they will still use the nest, seems they are continuing to make one. Fingers crossed for a peaceful time.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I'm on nights, so I'm a little slow to respond.
The latest news isn't great. One of the blue tits started going into the box from about 6am and just waiting inside.
It then started to make angry sounds and spread its wings in a defensive posture.
What followed was a another battle in the box. This time at a couple of points there were three blue tits battling, before they all left the box. A single bird came back a couple of times and removed a bit of nest material. Since 6.50am the box has been empty, without visitors.
I'm guessing that the original pair tried again to make a nest, before pair number two waged war for the nest.
Ironically, there's other birdboxes in the garden empty.
Here's the footage

Do hope one of the pairs can make a nest here Billy, couldn't bring myself to watch another vicious battle though, your description was enough to set the picture ... not easy for you either after so many peaceful nests you've followed!
