Hi.

Living in Neath South Wales and used to seeing Buzzards and Red Kites low down over back garden for years I have a keen eye for them, but a bird yesterday promote me to do some research online.

This bird was low and with the help of my binoculars I got an even closer and more detailed look. What was so strikingly different to what I was used to seeing was the tail of this bird, as it was so square and straight at its end. This didn't match any buzzards and kites I have seen, so after searching online I found this image of a booted eagle which not only matched the tail shape , wingtips and plumage colours.

Not the usual range for a wild Booted Eagle. Perhaps a falconers bird but no sign of Jesses hanging down.

Any other ideas out there?
