Robin nest in garage

Hi there,

I hope someone can advise, a Robin has built a nest in our garage as there was a gap to get in. There appears to be no eggs or chicks. Is it ok to close the gap and get rid of the nest? It’s really not a suitable spot as we will be in and out but I feel guilty about the idea.

  • No, it is illegal to move, touch or interfere with a nest. The birds are just starting to build, so it will more than likely lay eggs. What is the problem with the gap being left until after fledging?
