Bigger box

Good morning all,

For the last 3 years we have been lucky enough to have had blue tits nesting in exactly the same place. Last year I changed the and they still came ( great)

This year my husband bought me a large long box with a camera (apparently for blue tits) . I have spotted them but the are just poking their heads in but won't take the plunge into to box! 

I'm worried the box is too big  

I saw three in my garden last Sunday and a pair looking today .

Just wanted to know if anyone has changed to a bigger box and still had success.

    Hello Alsha, as long as the hole entrance is the size for Blue or Grest Tits, it should be okay. The birds are beginning to look around for which box they will use to nest in, the new one will be of interest as well, hopefully they will use it and if would be great to see what happens, good luck,

    Yes the hole is the correct size so let's hope. So much riding on this year because I am so excited to see what happens inside .x

    When you say you changed to the bigger box, does this mean the new box is in the place of the previous one, and that previous one has now been removed entirely?
