I agree with Cin, clean them now or leave them until Autumn. I have had a pair of bluetits visiting one of my nesting boxes everyday for a week or so, pecking around the hole and having a look inside, so they are looking for suitable premises. I find mine are more active in the mornings, so maybe clean it out after lunch or early evening.
