Hello.
Went out for my daily exercise and decided to take my binoculars and RSPB guide book' what's that bird'. I wandered over to Wandle Park and spotted the following: 2x Egyptian Goose, Carrion Crow x2, Parakeets x 4, Song thrush x3 ( cant be 100%, but I believe they have a brown tail as opposed to a white tail-Mistie thrush-but definitely a Thrush) Pied Wagtail x 1 and 4x Mallard ducks.
Really enjoyed it.
Rich

Good that you've managed to get out for a walk, with the binocs, something I'm desperately missing here, the joys of being in an urban environment, with the nearest reserves a 30 min drive plus!
The Canon EOS250D is a good starter camera, and to make it easier, Canon share basically the same controls, so if you're stuck for help, there are plenty of Canon (and Nikon for those reading and have a Nikon) users here more than able to help you out.
I look forward to reading your exploits, and seeing the photos once the new camera arrives.

That'll be frustrating, I know, I had to wait for a camcorder last summer due to no stock in the UK!
But it will be worth the wait.
It Looks like you have a great venue on your doorstep, I see you have bought a cannon camera and ordered a new lens, you shall have plenty of fun photographing the great variety of birds at Waddon ponds I will look forward to seeing your photos on here.
Popped over there today and quite a few species out. Moorhens, Canada geese, mute swan, Coots, mallards, songthrush, magpies and carrion crows. Thought I spotted a tit (possibly blue as I got a flash of blue as it was flying between bushes. It seemed to fly in an up and down motion. A relaxing afternoons birding.
Do you think I’ll be allowed to submit these spots to the great birdwatch stats as all I’ve seen from my balcony are a few feral pigeons?
Cheers.
Did you manage to submit your results Rich as I know some of the people on here were having trouble doing so ?
