I made a feeder for a squirrel and this happened...

Interesting clip and puzzle. Amazing to see the clever Jackdaw work out how to get the peanut - proves just how smart these corvids are. All that effort for one nut - maybe increase his treat so that at least two fall out at once or he's using more energy than is in the peanut ha ha !!

Smart Jackdaw. How long did it take for him to learn how to do it? All the corvids are highly intelligent.
What about the squirrel - has it worked it out as well?

That was the only Jackdaw of about 6 that worked out how to get the peanuts.
It took around 30mins.
The squirrel gave up on it and went for an easier option.

Nature can be very intuitive when it wants to be, particularly where food is concerned.

But that crow (what species??) Is so clever... They're my favourite bird I love watching them. Absolutely FABULOUS video !!!!!
