Spent every spare daylight hour tetrad bashing last year to get as many records as possible for an Atlas on the Shieldbugs and Allies in Shropshire. Well now, it's hot off the press and I've just got my copy!! :-)
So exciting to see all of our efforts in print! Not sure if I can put a direct link to where it can be bought, but it's available from the Field Studies Council website if anyone is interested!
A massive thanks to Pete Boardman who got this going and put it all together too!

Thanks Alan! Pete did the hard work with the writing; but satisfying to have been involved and can't wait to get back out in the field to start on the 2nd edition! ;-)
Here's a link should anyone like a copy (currently a discount for 'early bird' orders until 14.02 too!)
Goodness, I know you said you were keen but this is amazing, I can't imagine how much work you've put in to produce an Atlas for an area the size of Shropshire. Well done. Give yourself a big pat on the back from me & put the link on for where it can be bought too.
Best wishes

Congratulations on the hard work you put in, Rockwolf. It must be really satisfying to see the end result of your contribution to the project. Have many of your photos been used because the ones you showed on the Forum were stunning?

Merci bien Noisette ! :-) Our posts crossed, have added a link. This project has made me all the more passionate about Shieldbugs that's for sure!
Thanks TJ! It certainly was a very rewarding thing to do. And yes, there are quite a few of my photos included too! :-)
Great stuff, it looks a superb book. Pleased to see you have lots of photos in it as well :)

Very well done Rockwolf, all that work on this project has paid off producing this fantastic atlas with all the relevent information and detailed photographs which I also congratulate you on.

I just noticed that the Forest Bug's eggs are smiley faces :)
Thank you both very much!
Yes there are a few species whose eggs show the smiley faces just prior to hatching. The red eyes actually are their eyes and the 'mouth' is where the nymph will break out of the egg! Brilliant, isn't it!! :-)
Thanks Bob! You probably do have to be ever so slightly mad! ;-)
Call it dedicated RW, sounds better!! Lol
Great piece of work & it's always a buzz to 'know' someone famous!
