Thanks for the link Terry, it's the first time I'd seen it although I've seen photos of other birds with similar problems. It was back and forth to the feeders over a few days but I haven't seen it for a little while now.
Poor little thing, this sort of deformity is common in Blue Tits, here is a site to report the matter,
