There's a Moth thread and one for Insects, so I thought maybe one for our Arachnid friends. If there's already a live thread out there, my apologies...
I have plenty of these spiders in the garden, mainly in the hedges. Cross Spider I believe. It wasn't too happy with the camera!
great close up pics Paul, the birds won't go hungry lol
By the looks of this spider, they're not going hungry either!
They are quite pretty when you see them close up. I just wouldn't want to share my bed with one.

And another from bedroom ceiling about an hour ago & didn't hang aground to take it's picture ... but definitely a relative of the first one!!! Yeeukk!
Well done MC, good start to a good thread. I had loads in the garage before our holiday, have to look out the pics!

I don't kill them so by the time I'd got a cup and a piece of card to capture it, it had disappeared and I never saw it again. C'est la vie.

I believe that this is the time of year when they are drawn to houses. Is that correct?
Taken in June 2015. A fun filled bundle of minature juvenile Garden Spiders.
Good job they don't all grow up or they'd take over the world! LOL
Don't they look cute Hazel, bit different when they are adults!! Lovely photo Paul. Yes MC they do say they come in when the weather starts turning colder, and that certainly seem true. The spindleys are around all year or so it seems to me, I always have one or two in the corners of the lounge, just for the grandchildren to see of course!! Do you know they don't seem to catch flies at all in their webs, they just wait for a mate to turn up and then eat them, or so I've gathered. Sad person that I am I find them fascinating.
