Stunning photo. I'm also lucky enough to have a Sparrowhawk visit the garden regularly (something to do with the large number of finches that feed here!) and they really are spectacular looking birds.

That's one of the most stunning photos of a sparrowhawk I've ever seen! Absolutely gorgeous and very formidable.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
