Well, it has paid of spending the time and money on cleaning the pond as it must now be much more obvious to birds that there is water here. We have lots of the usual garden birds having a bath and drink which can now be seen from the living room windows. Had the first pair of Blackcaps having a wash & splash last week at the edge of the pond followed by Coal Tits at the pond and then the feeders.

Thanks, I will see about getting some photos posted, should take some new ones now the sun is out even if they obly capture the pond and garden.

I wouldn't mind seeing some photos as well Tony if you could manage it. I started digging a pond in the garden the other day and I always like to see and hear about other ponds and the wildlife they attract.

Two years later some more interesting garden firsts in the past week for Glemsford.

Pair of Gold Crest washing in the pond, followed by a female Redpoll and a pair of Siskins on the sunflower heart feeder. Again today now a pair of Redpoll and the pair of Siskins again. I will did manage to get some phots so will post them later.
