Hello! I'm putting up nestboxes for the first time this year and I can't decide where to place my wren house. I'm hoping to be able to find a spot that I can wa5ch from my window. I've read that they like their homes a bit more hidden, in shrubs and vines and things... How do these three spots look?? They're also spots where I've seen wrens hanging out before, though they seem to have disappeared this winter. The last spot is smaller than it looks, just enough space there for a little wren house.
Hi April, I am no expert but if they like a slightly hidden house the last shot looks good. Just a question though, in photos one, could a cat jump from the fence fence to the box and in two, is there a bit of a distance between fence and tree, I am thinking that if it is too near, a cat coming along the fence may be able to get to the box.
