Hi cal,
Welcome to the forum!
Not that I'm an expert about swallows but late summer I think (end of August), but if I'm wrong then there are certainly plenty of others on here who will soon answer your question correctly.

Hi Cal and welcome from me as well. It seems, from other posts on the forum, that quite a few areas still have swallows around but, like Kezmo, I am not sure when the "normal" time is for them to migrate.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Thankz for ur time no one else seems to care have emailed and phoned loads of different peeps re swallows .. soo heres hopin some one will know .
Ta all,
the weather is really bad and they are really struggling to feed their young dont think they have much chance if they stay much longer...
Hi again Cal
Have you had a read of the threads in the MIGRATION section? (sorry, I don't know how to link it to here).
ta again will head their now
I have just seen an oldish post under "All creatures" headed up swallows so try there. One of our friendly RSB has said they leave in October so perhaps your swallows will be okay and should leave soon - go have a look
The swallows up here left a few weeks ago, saw them gathering around the farm buildings preparing to take off! The martins seem to have gone as well. The geese have been arriving though and I think there are rredwing about too! Bring on the autumn migrants!

Its Difficult to say today because of the wind being so strong but, Yesterday the sky here was full of both Swallows and House Martins. When the wind drops we will see! that may not be today.
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
