I have a young wood pigeon coming to my garden fairly regularly but its beak looks very strange. It seems to be eating ok, but has a huge growth coming off it. Just wondering if anyone knows what this is… can anything be done?? I could try and catch if so. Thank-you
Hard to tell from the photo, but juvenile Wood Pigeons are susceptible to pox. This can be treated. Check www.helpwildlife.co.uk and see if there is a pigeon friendly rescue in your area.
