Could dunnocks have youngish chicks now (25th October, Stirling, Scotland). In recent days I have seen several dunnocks together at the same time in my garden, and some of them definitely look immature, puffed up, less confident etc., like chicks. But from what I read their latest brood should hatch about July? Nick
