Very dull greenfinch?

Looks more like a female chaffinch to me.

Finches can flock up in mixed-species groups during the colder, darker months.

I thought the same initially, but it had a yellow wing stripe and the greyish wingtips of a greenfinch. Although the greenfinches do come with the big flock of goldfinch usually, with the odd chaffinch sometimes.

The photos don't really show that in my opinion. It could be the colour balance of the image. My ID was working on the black/white wing bars. The head of the bird without a positive ID doesn't show the chunkier beak of a greenfinch (although the image isn't that clear).

The other possible ID could be an immature greenfinch, but without clearer images I still have to go with chaffinch. Do greenfinches have a (prominent) white bar on the outer edge of the tail feathers?

Pretty sure it is a Greenfinch.
The head is totally the wrong shape for a Chaffinch, and the streaking in the top picture is very Greenfinch as are the bars on the lower back/wings.
