On a pond near us (Nottinghamshire) in the spring, there was a pair of greylags and a pair of Canada geese. The greylags disappeared some time ago. The Canadas have two offspring, but the odd thing is that, now their plumage has developed, they look like greylags, not Canadas. Could the Canadas have stolen the eggs of the greylags?
