Hello, I have just found a lone blue tit fledgling in my garden. There are bird boxes nearby but I dont know where it has come from. It is very distressed and I think its mum is on the fence but doesnt know what to do. I’ve left it some water - is there anything else I can do to help? Many thanks, Hayley
Hello Hayley, sorry no one got back to you. Normally once they fledge they will sit up in the trees and bushes and the parents will be close by to keep an eye on them. Maybe it is injured or sick ? Hopefully mum or dad found the young one.
