One rejected blue tit egg: why?

A blue tit has roosted in our camera nest box since it was installed at the beginning of February. She (assuming it’s the same one!) has built a nest and so far has laid 8 eggs. Suddenly this morning we noticed that one of the eggs was outside the confines of the nest, resting on the moss/feathers. We looked at the recording and saw the bird pushing the egg out of the nest, away from the others. What is going on? Does she sense that something is amiss with that egg or is it a random action? She hops past it on her way out of the box and completely ignores it.
